Don't be afraid to fail

We all know that starting is harder than doing. Fear of failure is a problem to overcome. I figure as long as you make forward steps you are doing the right thing. My Dad always said "if you keep driving in the right direction you will get there." I have continued on with eBay, bought a scale, sent a few more things out. I need to get the paperwork done for financial freedom and then more blogging will be next.

The New Job and Blogging

I really love the new job. The commute is a breeze. I am settling in pretty well but I had two weeks with Scott there. Then he was gone for 10 days. He is still doing the ordering and I am doing just the accounting plus fleshing out the job manual. He also set up an electronic calendar to track orders.

There have been some surprises (like not being able to find any bank statements for a week or so and billing some things wrong.) but with very limited training I am doing pretty well, Like I kept saying when he was nervous about leaving "it will be OK, no one will die, it's not brain surgery, everything can be fixed."

It has been a little boring with my boss gone, but he will stop in tomorrow and be back all day on Thursday and Friday. I need to work pretty hard for a while in the morning but unless I get a flurry of email or snail mail, all I have to do after that is learn to use the scanner and Stamps.com. Scott did say he was getting WIFI on the plane and was going to work on the way home so who knows?

I did start posting to eBay and have sold a few things, ordered some mailing bag envelopes, and got my feet wet again. I wish I had my postal scale but it's somewhere in storage. I might just have to buy another one. You get a break on postage if you print postage from your computer rather than the post office. You can track packages too.

Tonight I am doing a webinar on blogging to make money (which I do regularly without making anything on it) and I have my eye on some tutoring work. Basically, I have a few months to eBay and then summer hits but with no cost listings, I may just keep plugging away at eBay. I have sooo many things in storage and coupons to sell. I'm still looking for more "streams of income."
