Back on Track

Ok back to work, full of sunshine and blues. Had a great time with my friend visiting. Time to get back to normal today: puttering around here, catching up, and starting to listen to the podcasts and webinars to move ahead with the website project full speed. Fill my head with positives instead of negatives.

Listened to Brian Rodgers teleconference and then Sam Crowley "6 Days to Saturday" and "Every Day is Saturday" today, took notes, revised my planning process, and action plan. Sam Crowley resonates with me.
He has many more podcasts at http://motivation.podomatic.com/

He and I have both wanted get on with life since we were kids. We both left school several times, etc. We both have stamina and work ethic but I have not gotten there yet, where I am working on what I love.
Sam Crowley talks about J O B
Journey to Broke
Jump outta Bed

MBA
Miserable Broke and Annoying
Man it's a 30 week party with a 6 Grand Cover

This how I have always felt. I spent most of my career fixing what the quote, unquote educated have screwed up. And listening to friends and family tell me I should go get that education???

What have I done? Been everything from a Receptionist (eventually became the Office Manager there) to various kinds of Accountant according to my titles. What did I actually do? Forensic accounting (finding problems and fixing them), training staff, recreating paperflow, computer conversions, writing manuals, and acting as the resident IT help desk for employees. In the meantime I have had websites dating back to January 2000 and blogs started since then. Also maintained and tweaked websites for employers. Now I need to make money at it.

Need to get back to making lists, planning my work and working my plan. Have to listen to Steven Covey again too. Time to starting making time for more positive thinking. I have had some bad habits developing this summer. Time to readjust.

Tomorrow will be a day trip to Madison to complete a school obligation. I did aptitude testing previously and this appointment is for the counseling provided with it. I may still try to take some classes in the January semester for programming websites purposes. No point in closing any doors right now.

Wednesday will be webinar in the afternoon. In the meantime, just catching up around the house because I didn't do any housework while I had company. No point in letting the house get away from me. It will be easier to stay focused on work if life is appealing around here.
